There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort. Jane Austen
welcome to our bathroom. funny story:
i purchased this steve madden shower curtain as a surprise, with the hopes that it would be less girly, for stephen. – yeah, that was a fail. it’s really girly and shiny, oh well i tried!
the prints are from my etsy shop
this is the other side – i love these big white clothes pins, they’re from pottery barn.
welcome to the bedroom! i love this room, it’s peaceful and simple. our duvet blanket is from urban outfitters and i made the pillows using joel dewberry fabric.
here’s another painting of mine – i’ll have to blog about my painting adventures later! i made the quilt in the corner last year using amy butler fabrics. it’s probably my favourite item i’ve made. it’s huge too, i made it large enough for our bed!
the vanity is my newest piece and i recently painted it, again. i love this french white, its so clean and soft.
my small, but dearly loved hat collection!
i love peacock feathers and forever elizabeth perfume.
i believe you can never go wrong with pearls and big rings.
this may be my favorite spot in our new loft. i love vintage purses. as of right now i have seventeen…*blushes*
we’ll end on that note
is there something that is hard for you to pass up in a thrift shop? my weakness is vintage purses, what’s yours?
cheers,

Your bathroom is not that girly. My apartment has pink tile all the way around the lower half of the room! And for a while we had a frilly rose print shower curtain. My poor hubby, but now there’s a very unisex bamboo print shower curtain to help drown out the pink tiles.
I’m not a huge fan of vintage purses because I love a big bag but I do adore finding vintage scarves even though I hardly ever wear them.
ah, pink tile!! if it were up to me, everything would be pink! i love scarves too. i *almost* picked up one the other day at a antique mall, but i found a tea pot pin instead.
I love your bedroom! It’s soo cute! Makes me want to make my own pillows!
thank you!! oh you should! it’s so much fun! i used to have a ton of pillows! the fabric that used to be our pillows is actually that huge quilt now!
You’re bathroom is cute. Those clothes pin hangers are awesome! We’re trying to decorate our main bathroom in Retro styles. it’s going slow but getting there. Your vanity is really cool. I’d like to get something like that eventually.
thank you Mariela! i like the clothes pin’s too!
ooo retro styles! you’ll have to take pictures, i would love to see it!
Your hats are lovely. I’m also drawn to vintage purses, and I love the way yours are displayed. I can’t pass a vintage purse in a shop without picking it up and looking at it. The same with vintage compacts.
