The snow didn’t last, and to make up for the sadness Stephen and I went to The Hobbit…again. Was anyone else crying in the theater, or was that just me? The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings mean so much to me and to see the books come to life is so moving. Peter Jackson is brilliant.
So, I received THE cutest package from my dear friend Katrina. I met her on Tumblr a few years ago and we have a little tradition of sending each other Christmas presents. It’s so much fun. We’ve actually never met in person before, but we chat when we can and we’ve had a facetime date before! It always surprises me how well she knows me. One year she sent me a tea mug with the Union Jack flag on it. It’s my favourite mug and I only drink tea out of it on special occasions. One day I will fly to Britain and meeting her is the first thing on my list to do!
I also received a chicken pot pie from my mother-in-law. I LOVE chicken pot pie. It’s all gone, and I may have had something to do with that. I heard a knock on our door on Saturday and there she was greeting me with little kitchen mittens on, holding a warm chicken pot pie -true story. First, I can’t describe how cute that was and second, I want to deliver chicken pot pies to all my neighbors now, because there’s nothing like eating warm chicken pot pie on a chilly winter day.
It was a week of gifts and I realised how blessed I am.
Yours Ever,
Amber

Vaughn and I went to see the Hobbit yesterday and I loved it. I still haven’t had a chance to read the books, but the movie was very good!!
Oh you have to read the books! It’s a classic and Tolkien is brilliant!
You are so very welcome my lovely.
I can’t believe we have never met sometimes. If feels as though we have been friends for years :)
I can’t wait till Berto & I own our own house just so you and Stephen can come and stay with us.
That way I can take a week off work to show you around my city :)
Katrina xx
I would love that and can’t wait!
