Vinyl Storage

April 7, 2015

Is it just me, or are vinyl’s awkward to store? I feel like I’ve tried everything. I’ve displayed vinyl’s in a wooden crate, but to be honest that solution looked stiff and bulky. I’ve been looking for something simple that wasn’t a piece of furniture or too expensive. I found this crate from Urban Outfitters and I am so happy with it.  Also, I bought the two for $60 and am using the other crate for blanket storage in the living area. It’s useful and it looks great.

There are these great cabinets sold at Ikea that loads of people lately have been buying for record storage. As for me, I have plastic crates that are about 15×15 or so that are stacked two on one side of my record player stand and two on the other side. Your storage reminds me a little of what I used when I was in high school.

Google this: vintage vinyl record rack and you will see record racks that were in every household back in the late 60s and 70s….. we had several in our house. You may even be able to find one that suits your taste available for purchase.

I had not checked on your blog for a while so I was surprised to see that you and Mr. Apple now live in Apple Cottage!! So happy for you… I know you will enjoy every minute of making it yours. Blessings to you both….
