There are moments in life that arrive not with a roar, but with the quiet clarity of autumn sunlight—moments when you suddenly realize that the season has changed. You didn’t hear the wind shift. You didn’t mark the date on the calendar. But there it is, undeniable: the air is different, the colors deeper, your soul somehow older, wiser, and quietly beckoning you onward.
Recently, I made the decision to step away from a role I have truly loved. Leaving a place you love is like stepping out from under the shelter of a beloved tree, knowing full well the comfort you’re leaving behind: the rustle of familiar leaves, the shade of strong branches, the camaraderie of others who have shared in its refuge.
I’ve had the privilege of leading an incredible team: brilliant and kind teammates, who brought their hearts and talents to the table every single day. The company is, in every sense, a good one.
And yet, even in the midst of such goodness, I began to sense something shift within me. In the quiet spaces between projects and conversations, I began to notice that I am no longer the woman I was three years ago. I began to feel it in small ways at first. A nudge here. A thought there. And then it became unmistakable: it was time to slip into something more akin to who I am today.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11
What I’ve come to learn is this: God often surprises us when we least expect it. He opens doors we weren’t even knocking on. He redirects our steps not because we’ve strayed, but because He’s leading us deeper into who He created us to be. Change is uncomfortable—but trusting in His plan has taught me that discomfort is often the prelude to transformation.
So, I’ve said yes to a new opportunity—one that feels more aligned with who I am today. It’s a leap, yes. But it’s a leap taken hand-in-hand with the One who sees the whole map when I only see the next step.
To anyone walking your own journey of vocation, business, and trust:
Take heart.
Even when the way is unclear, He is already there, making it holy.
