November is drifting toward its curtain call, and I can hardly believe it. There’s a peculiar enchantment to the final trio of months in the year—each one slipping through our fingers, faster than the last. The time change ushered in a brisker chill. All that’s missing this year is a proper snowfall to complete the scene.
Until then, nearly all my coats have made their way out of storage. If you follow me on Instagram, you’re probably familiar (and most likely a little tired!) with my daily fit check story posts. I can’t help it though, it’s too much fun!
This autumn I’ve journeyed through a couple of great books, Amid Clouds and Bones and Quicksilver, both captivating in their own right. October’s read was the perfect companion for the spooky season: The Crimson Moth. And now, with Onyx Storm coming out in late January, I’m preparing to revisit the world of Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. Not too soon, though. I know myself, I’ll reread them both far too quickly.
Here at home, the addition of an electric fireplace has transformed our space into a warm, cozy retreat—an absolute delight as the weather has turned colder. We’re still awaiting the arrival of our new sofa, and I can hardly wait to see how it fits into the room! It’s called the Maxwell by Interior Define and I’m obsessed. We ordered it in their beautiful Chartreuse velvet and with the bench cushion—AH! I can’t wait.
We’ve also settled on a paint colour for the bedroom, and—what a relief—our building generously offered to have a professional painter handle it for us. With just a few more furniture updates, the living room will finally feel complete, leaving 2025 free to focus on making the bedroom as snug and inviting as possible.
For the walls, I’ve chosen Essex Green by Benjamin Moore—a deep, elegant shade that I know will pair beautifully with the Off-Black by Farrow & Ball in our living room. Our apartment’s natural light makes experimenting with these darker, moodier tones so much fun—adding a touch of drama while keeping the space feeling bright and vibrant. I can already imagine how it will all come together, and I’m thrilled for the transformation.
And I suppose that’s a wrap! This little post turned into a mix of updates and, let’s be honest, a bit of a photo dump—but I’ve missed writing in this space. Here’s to catching up, sharing cozy moments, and looking forward to all the little joys that make life sweeter.
Wishing you a warm and Happy Thanksgiving!
