My dad introduced me to tea when I was a kid; on the weekends we would play chess and have a cup of tea together. He would add a little bit of cream, while I added sweetened condensed milk—I know so cringy. Later, I began to appreciate the quintessential taste of bergamot infused in loose leaf black tea. Now I enjoy the Parisian version of Earl Grey—adding lavender.
It’s calming, but I won’t get sleepy. Perfect for the evening! I use this measuring spoon when I make tea. For two cups of tea, I add one spoon full of lavender dreams and one spoon full of earl grey créme to my teapot. I think tea is best when tea leaves can swirl around in warm water; I use a mesh to catch any tea leaves when pouring my tea.
What is your favorite tea blend?
