Honey syrup is so easy to make and it’s a much healthier option than simple syrup. All you need is local honey and filtered water.
Heat one cup of filtered water in a kettle. While your water is heating, pour one cup of local honey in a measuring cup. Then add your hot water and stir together until it’s syrupy. Pour your homemade honey syrup into a bottle of your choice and keep it refrigerated. You can enjoy honey syrup in cocktails, iced tea, iced chai or coffee. You can even pour honey syrup over peaches or pears and can them… or make a pie, mmm. Possibilities are endless.
