I’m slowly getting back into blogging again. I haven’t consistently blogged since 2014, that’s three years of lost posts and memories I could have recorded. I’m pushing myself to make time and find new places to shoot. I’m also realizing perfection isn’t always needed or wanted. Looking back on three years of only a hand full of blog posts makes me wish I took more photo’s even if they weren’t any good. Anything to remember those moments now lost in time. Making cinemagraphs is one avenue I’m exploring. It’s a huge learning curve, but I’m really enjoying the process. We drove a few blocks to Old Salem to capture this scene. You would never guess, but we’re still in the city. I’m happy we took the time to film the moment and make a cinemagraph—it rarely snows in Winston-Salem. I didn’t take the meteorologist seriously and wasn’t prepared at all. My boots were in storage and we had absolutely nothing to eat at our apartment. Thankfully our favorite Thai restaurant was open and serving delicious duck pho. *insert emoji praise hands*
